The vinyl is in beautiful condition and the sound is clear and deep, but with a minor click on Side 1 Track 3 and Side 2 Track 5. The cover is in decent nick, but has some dedication written inside the gatefold cover. The gold cover is apt to look a little dirty and has a couple of minor scuffs, but the overall appearance is really very good. The inside of the gatefold is excellent apart from the gift dedication. Labels are perfect.

An eclectic variety of music, with the first track starting us off with a rockabilly number. ‘All in all’ has a John Prine country feel to it. Other tracks are great folk rock which is more electric than previous albums with additions of brass and strings in places. ‘Back on your own again’ and the title track are beautiful folk rock numbers with wrenching vocals. The jazzy ballad ‘Indian Queens’ appears to be smoky and languid with slippery rhythms. The first track of Side 2 ‘Fennario’ has a Stephen Stills feel to it with its hypnotic rock sound, with great backing vocals. The bluesy ‘Time enough to spare’ follows with great finger picking guitar. ‘Mozart rides again’ is another folk rocker. All in all this easily fits with the quality that was evident on Rainmaker and Fully Qualified Survivor. A must for your collection.
