The cover has minor ringwear, but essentially is in great condition, no tears, no writing, spine is fully legible. The labels are great and the vinyl has a lovely sheen that plays beautifully.

This is a compilation taken from The Gods first 2 albums (‘Genesis’ and ‘To Samuel a son’), plus the addition of a few singles/’B’ sides from the period 1968 – 1970. The band of Ken Hensley (keyboards), Lee Kerslake (drums), Joe Konas (lead guitar) and John Glasscock (Bass) were to go onto greater things, with the exception of their main songwriter (Konas) who became a guitar salesman in Ontario. Hensley and Kerslake co-founded Uriah Heep, while John Glasscock was a Jethro Tull stalwart. Great for Heep aficionados to see the roots of the band’s sound. There are some great tracks such as the Kerslake penned ‘Lovely Anita’ and ‘Radio show’. The Gods version of ‘Maria’ is interesting, but not a showstopper, but does have some outstanding keyboards from Hensley. ‘Looking glass’ does sound like early Uriah Heep vocals and driving keyboards and rhythm section. The final track ‘Misleading colours’ is a fusion of psychedelia and Uriah Heep – interesting.
