The cover is in great shape with a slight touch of ringwear and a couple of creases on the front (see photos). The labels are excellent and the vinyl looks like new and plays beautifully.

‘Required listening , for anyone who considers themselves a connoisseur of singing’ (Folk Roots). ‘Some kind of love’ was her debut release in 1987 and since then has become to be known as one Scotland’s finest female vocalists. This album showcases her talent with a variety of folk songs that are all (in one way or another) about love. Martin Carthy writes on the back cover ‘Heather Heywood is someone whose singing can make you quake in your boots. There is in her singing a generosity of spirit in common with the very finest’. I don’t think I need to add to that testament, except to say ‘The Cruel Mother’ is an exceptional track.  Great folk album, in great condition.
