The cover is in excellent shape with clearly legible spine (great artwork on the cover as well). The labels are perfect and the vinyl is also in great shape with a lovely sheen and great sound.

The Devils in Disguise were Tony Minnion (Double Bass), Jacqui Callis (Guitar and Recorder) and Chris Thompson (Banjo and Guitar). This was there only release in 1988 after which the band split up and Thompson later joined the Barely Works. I think Callis who started playing at University in Leeds, later went solo, but I can’t find any material she released as a solo artist. This is however a great album with some great harmonies and some fabulous tracks. They sound like a folk version of the Housemartins/Beautiful South. ‘No work, no wages, no respect’ is a particular favourite, but there are really a lot of great tracks. Shame the band split up. Also included is a type written letter from the Producer of the album – David Woolfson, writing to a friend ‘Pete’ to see if he would be able to manage the band.
