The cover is in excellent condition, with no creases in the laminate and a very clear, easily read spine. The back cover has also got a clear signature ‘Best wishes Tony Rose’. The labels are perfect and the vinyl is clear and shiny. In play test the sound was clear and with the necessary depth, just a few isolated clicks. A great copy from a great folk singer.

Tony was devoted to finding old traditional folk songs and revitalising them. This album certainly does this, with songs collected in Somerset and Dorset, rescued by Tony from obscurity. However, on this album, he has also included tracks written by Richard Thompson (Down where the drunkards roll), Bob Dylan (Boots of Spanish leather) and a very traditional sounding song which was actually written in 1974 by Paul Wilson (Bampton Fair) and is sung acapella. This was Tony’s last solo album on vinyl and is recommended for any folk fan.
