The cover is in great condition with a perfect spine. Only issue with the cover is a minor amount of laminate lifting (please see photos). The labels are excellent and the vinyl has a lovely sheen with a lovely rich sound.

This is Tom Paxton’s 4th album and includes orchestration on one of his album’s for the first time. It may not be his best album, but there some gems to be discovered. ‘Jennifer’s rabbit’ has a Pete Seeger feel and is sung a cappella – great song and is refrained at the end of Side 2. ‘Mr Blue’ is another great song that has been covered by many other artists, great piano. ‘Victoria dines alone’ is a lovely song which is a sketch about an elderly woman, while ‘The hooker’ moves upbeat and is more of a comedy song – real fun. ‘So much for winning’ is an introspective song lasting almost 7 minutes. The title track is another highlight as Paxton weaves his magic as he tells another poignant story. ‘Now that I’ve taken my life’, as it suggests is someone who has committed suicide looking back on their life and questioning whether he has done the right thing – very impressive
