This album is in fabulous condition, the cover is really excellent and the spine is brilliant, as are the labels. The vinyl itself generally sounds superb, with a couple of minor clicks at the start of Track 3 Side 1 and some background crackle on Track 4 Side 1, towards end of Track4 Side 2 and Track 5 Side 2. Quite remarkable for an album that is almost 50 years old!!

This is the original Magna Carta debut album from 1969. It features Chris Simpson (singer/composer), Lyell Tranter (Australian guitarist referred to as the ‘musician of the band’) and Glen Stuart who is the harmony genius. They were accompanied by the inimical Danny Thompson on double bass and Harold McNair on flute. This is a great debut album that deserves a good listen. There are vocals that remind you of Simon and Garfunkel or the Moody Blues and great lyrics. This is a gem.
