Great cover with a couple of very minor creases. The picture disc is great fun and in fabulous condition with great sound, minor background crackle in the quieter parts, but no clicks.

Keaton’s second album ‘Birthdays’ is a great album with simple arrangements of Keaton’s tortured voice with delicate backing vocal from Jesca Hoop and in general, just Keaton’s electric guitar. The lyrics show a deep insecurity and I would not want to be the women he writes about!

The first side is very beautiful with just the solo electric guitar and Keaton’s vocals for the most part, but Side 2 surprises you as it explodes brilliantly with noise (drums) at the end of ‘Don’t swim’ and continues into ‘Kronos’ with a real rock sound. The whole album gives the effect that it was recorded with a couple of mates and an amplifier in his bedroom, but that sounds like it is poorly recorded, but in fact it is extremely well done and gives a unique sound that is remarkable. His songs give hints of Jeff Buckley, Passenger and Ben Howard, but his lyrics are completely Keaton Henson.
