This album is in near mint condition. The cover is excellent, with the spine beautifully legible. The booklet is also near mint, with a lot of fascinating information. The labels are perfect and the vinyl has a perfect sheen and looks unplayed (although I certainly have).

The ballads are sung alternately by either A.L.Lloyd or Ewan MacColl, with occasional accompaniment by Alf Edwards on the concertina. The booklet containing notes on all the songs is included. This is a piece of Folk history with 2 of the greatest exponents of traditional folk music. Very simple and effective arrangements to give maximum focus on the ballads themselves. The ballads are series of tales put to music and passed from generation to generation. This album captures them for all future generations.
