BRIEF SUMMARY

Bob Buckle – known as the Mersey Minstrel – has been performing for almost 40 years until his recent retirement. Dry Bed was Bob’s 2nd of 3 albums he released in the 70’s on the small ASH label. This is a great folk album, with Bob’s humour (Sammy Bell and The Emu’s Egg)and sensitivity (Greenland Whale and Geordie)shining through. There is more than a touch of Pete Seeger (People are scratching) on this album, especially when he plays banjo. Great album.
