The cover has slight rubbing and a sticker removal tear, but the spine is legible. The labels are excellent Dandelion labels, while the vinyl is generally excellent, there are some minor clicks on Side 1 Track 2 and 4, and Side 2 Track 1 and Track 4. Cleaned on a VPI Cyclone RCM. This was Beau’s second of 2 albums released on John Peel’s Dandelion label. Beau (Christopher John Trevor Midgely) was 25 when this album was released in 1971 and is a delightful album, with all songs written by Beau, with Beau himself playing a 12 string guitar and backed by another Dandelion stable band – ‘The Way We Live’ who were Jim Milne and Steve Clayton. John Peel later persuaded ‘The Way We Live’ to change their name to ‘Tractor’.

The stand out track is the title track ‘Creation’ with its early Pink Floyd style backing music which was evidence of the influence of Milne and Clayton. The other great track on Side 1 is ‘Nine minutes’, which doesn’t last nine minutes and in fact could have lasted a bit longer, as it is excellent. The rest of the tracks on Side 1 are pleasant, without really knocking you dead. The guys from ‘The Way We Live’ really get excited on the final track ‘Silence returns’ with some splendid distorted rock guitar which definitely adds something to an otherwise splendid track.
