The vinyl is superb and appears to have hardly been played at all. A superb sound. The labels and cover are also in stunning condition. All in all, this album is in amazing condition after 50 years. Cleaned on a VPI Cyclone RCM. For photos and music review, see my .com site

Bread Love and Dreams had a short career, producing 3 albums between 1969 and 1971. This album was their debut and was primarily acoustic prog/psych folk. The band line-up consisted of the trio of David McNiven, Angie Rew and Carolyn Davis for this album. All tracks are credited to all 3 performers, although it seems as though McNiven was the real driving force. The band were ‘discovered’ by Decca producer Ray Horricks (who later produced this album) at a festival and the subsequently toured with Tyranossaurus Rex and Magna Carta before laying this album down. They were significantly influenced by the Pentangle, ISB and Donovan, but were probably a little late delivering this great album to have the commercial success they deserved, music had moved on. Having said that, it should not distract you from the quality that is on show here. They were a fabulous band, producing great lyrics with some moving music.
