BRIEF SUMMARY
This Northampton based band was fronted by the late and much missed Tom Hall. ‘ Behind the mask’ was their 3rd album. The album has 3 traditional songs arranged by Tom and Jaye Woodfield, with all other songs composed by Hall and Woodfield or just Tom Hall. Tom is superb on vocals, with his earthy folky voice, supported by his wife Diane. The supporting musicians give the album a real Olde Englande on some tracks, with an Elizabethan feel to the start of side 2. Great feel to the album.
The cover is signed by Jaye Woodfield ‘To Graham – please don’t listen to all my mistakes – From Jaye’ and is in really excellent condition except for a bit of dirt on top of back cover. The labels are excellent and the vinyl itself is near mint – great sound. The album also includes the original lyric sheet, which also includes instructions for formation dances to 3 of the tracks – this insert is also in excellent condition.
