Alisha through the looking glass was Alisha’s first recording since her 2 albums with the Magic carpets releases in the early 70’s.While the Magic carpet sound was heavily laden with Indian sounds with Alisha’s folky Joni Mitchellesque vocals, this album has moved more towards a jazz sound with folky vocals. Her voice has a power and eloquence that ring every last drop from her emotional and beautiful poetry. Great album and fantastic cover art.
